Because of the nature of the dual pipe exhaust that is OEM, you're not going
to find
an inexpensive alternative.
If you ditch the y-pipe and build a single pipe exhaust from scratch, you
will save
money, esp. if you use the stock downpipe, then find a universal cat that
fits and get some
generic mufflers and hangers and build your own system.
In terms of prebuilt, I think the Stromung is really your best bet. Stebro
makes a system that
is cheaper, if they still make it and you can find someone who sells it.
