[s-cars] work vehicle advice needed

was it the computer or was it the key? i don't recall whether MB
was using optical keys in the ML. heavy keyrings (loaded with keys
and froufrou) attached to the optical key caused it to lose alignment
while inserted in the switch, and if the computer couldn't see the
key, it shut down the engine. my friend's wife had that problem.
dealer told her to separate her 1/2 lb. keyring from the key, and
the problem was solved.
