[s-cars] Quick Tyre Fitment Question

I've driven Audis with good snow tires and bad snow tires, and I
have to tell you, there is a world of difference.
My S6 came with a set of Kumho all season tires, in a 225/50 size.
They were awful.
I run Toyo all season tires on my C5 and on my wife's A6 for
summer tires, and switch to narrower Nokians (205s on her car,
215s on mine), and the difference is night and day.
If you don't put narrow top quality snow tires on your Audi in
winter...if you live in snow country...you're cheating yourself
from a great experience.
And I absolutely believe in giving up some dry handling in the
winter for that extra margin of safety in bad weather. I've lived
through a couple of scary driving situations where I wanted, but
didn't have, that extra margin. I never want to go there again.
But that's my approach. Others go wider for more of a balance
between wet and dry capability.
