[s-cars] Turbo Replacements

If the turbo creates boost in a more efficient manor, it will generate less
heat.
There is and always will be the heat from compression, but not near what
heat is created when it's done outside the efficient range.
The 2871 will spool quicker, and may result in more torque early, but I
suspect it will run outta leg early as well.
The 3071 has a great compressor map, and should spool early and be able to
create a ton of boost well. It too will run outta leg, but not until well up
in the rpm range.
You really need to select the turbo for what your desired driving conditions
will be. I have had a GT30R for several years now, I love it...but it sucks
in stoplight to stoplight play. On the track it's response is awesome, you
can be pulling 5000 rpm, and bury the throttle and it will pull like a
freight train all the way until rev limit or you let off. It has so much
power it will overpower my Spec stage 2+ clutch at 4500 RPM in basically any
gear. It is a great turbo.. on the track or drag strip where it can be
unleashed. On the street it sucks.
I think I have strayed off topic now :-)
