Hi Listers,

anyone replaced U-joint on UrS4/6?   Front CV-joint started to click and 
I planned to do complete rebuild of the shaft, including center support 
bearing and U-joint.   I assumed that same U-joint as for type 44 can be 
used (Neapco 1-0013).   But after I took the shaft off the car and saw 
that u-joint is held in the housing by .... I don't know technical term 
for this, I gave up immediately as  I  was not prepared for this and I 
did not have time to scratch my head.   There was no groove for stop 
ring like on type 44.  The u-joint cap is held in place by what big 
hummer and a punch can do to an edge of a bore.
My questions:
a)  can  the same the same U-joint as for type 44 be used as replacement?
b)  I believe the same method as factory one should be used to fix a 
u-joint..  What tool should be used to do that?  Sorry, I have trouble 
to describe the method of driving a piece of metal from the edge down 
the bore to make a stop for u-joint cap.
