A good tip I heard the other day: rip the CDs using iTune's lossless
format. Then you can convert that to whatever mp3 rate suits your ears.
Bit rate of 160 not good enough for you (or for a particular song)?
You can re-convert to 192 or even 320 without having to re-rip the CD.
