Then there is the difference of the clamping force of the two set-ups.  If I
recall the 3B style has a tendency to slip more than that of the dual mass.

Yes, the S2 used a solid, but heavy flywheel that would be a bolt-on.   
I know of one German tuner that sells it as their "racing" flywheel for 
the 01E cars.
