Try for R&L Carriers/Gator Freightways if available. I think they
will have the best rates. The shipper can just strap it to a pallet
and have it picked up. If it is an individual, he can
take it to the terminal and they will put it on a pallet for
shipment. But, whatever carrier you choose, freight is the best
way. There is a plastic container they are shipped in, but
if fluid leakage is eliminated, it's not necessary. Bob Pastore also
had some generic containers for overseas shipment.
The engine with accessories weighs 381 lb with pallet. The
transmission about half, so plan for how to handle it before it
arrives. Probably little reason to have it dumped on your
driveway instead of picking it up at the terminal on your schedule.
On that route, it may come by train anyway, by piggyback trailer.
