[s-cars] Stromung Exhaust

At higher engine rpm there is no drone.

What is irritating is found only at engine RPMs that occur in high gear
between 50 and 55 mph. This particularly occurs with 3" and larger tubes
where there appears to be some reverberation or reflected waves that
restricts flow. Kind of like reflected waves in a coax cable. A longer
cable or exhaust could tune where the drone occurs or even eliminate the RPM
sensitive restriction. Once you get over that restrictive drone the power
just frees up.

It was for this reason I was asking about that particular speed.

The "BN Pipes" twin tube exhaust from Germany was way less restrictive than
my larger 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust. Not only has the hp to the ground
increased but my wife will ride in the car now.

I have not experienced any droning Ned. Had it as high as 90 so far.
