I agree with Dave, out of the pads I've used the Mintex pads are the lowest dust and last very well. There are different compounds but for what your looking for I would go with the Mintex C-Tech Blues, they will be fine for a few track days (unless your doing Road America or another big track with very high speed braking) and quiet for the street with not too much dust. The blacks will hold up better on the track but they sqeel bad on the street and are alot harder on the rotor.

I'm currently doing this upgrade at the moment - 993TT Big Reds/with the A8
323x30 rotors. Now I'm looking to see what folks' experiences are with a
variety of pads. This car will only occasionally see track use.
Dust and noise are a concern, but not compared to performance. I'm just
looking to benefit from what others have experienced!
I've run 3 different sets of pads... my impressions:
Textars... very dirty, stop great, noisy, wear medium, don't recall price.
Porterfields... pretty clean, stop great, minor noise, wear fast, $180.
Mintex... pretty clean, stop good, no noise, wear longest of the 3, $55.
IMO, unless you're going to the track, use the Mintex.

Dave
