[s-cars] Front brake research/ brake pad recommendations

No problem.
I too have tried Hawk pads on my E30 M3. Never again... much better suited to track only. VERY noisy, and very hard on rotors. They stop like nobody's business, but at quite an expense. The material that came off of the rotors/pads literally welded itself to my wheels. No amount of scrubbing or any cleaner would remove the residue.

Great info, Dave, and a big help. It's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm not
adverse to getting a more aggressive pad for the occasional track day, but the
Mintex sound like a good solution, which Elijah confirms.
