Eric,
As a side note.  GPR (gprparts.com) now sells the late A8 323 x 30 rotors for $90 each.  They are Zimmermans.  I'm running Zimmermans right now, and they work real well.
 
Other note... I was 100% wrong when I said I purchased my big reds from Pelican.  I did in fact buy them from Crescent.  They are the ones that advertise monthly in Excellence.

I called Crescent City Motors and talked to John.  He sold me 993TT
calipers for $325 per.  I plan on putting these over 323x30 S8 rotors
using RS2 brackets.

I'm going to get the brackets via vagparts.com, but only if I get a
couple of more folks to sign on as sort of a group buy so that the
shipping isn't outrageous.   Otherwise, I'll go through Europrice.

Thanks to everyone for the info.  BTW, John was great, and very
helpful.  And oddly, the regular 993 (non-turbo) calipers were more
expensive than the 993TT calipers.  Weird.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for S8 rotors - this bolt-up isn't
going to happen for a few months, at the very least.
