[s-cars] overheating dilemma

Tony,

Your Audi 80 V6 (ABC eng. code) has a large air bubble in the system. Behind
the left cylinder head, you'll see the cross over tube (water pipe) that
connects to each head for water cooling. There is a small allen key vent plug on
this tube. It might be hard to see due to the throttle body covering it a
little. Loosen the plug a little while the engine is running, you'll hear and see
the air/water come out. If this isn't it, then the thermostat may have been
installed incorrectly. The V6 engines take a while to bleed all the air out of the
cooling system. The cylinder heads and the water pipe behind them is a high
spot for the system and the bleed/vent plug is there for a reason.
