[s-cars] pressure test question

Yes... my offline post to Joey:

The throttle plate stops nothing. Try a pressure test sometime. Your boost gauge will immediately show your test pressure... and your gauge picks up from within the IM.

Intake valves... who cares. If the valve is open, the pressure simply enters the cylinder as well as the IM... which is still primarily a dead end... except some ring leakage.

Turbo cars typically use cams with no overlap, so if an intake valve is open, the exhaust valve won't be. Air enters the cylinder, and that's all the further it can go.

HTH,
Dave

Is that because the compressed air will be stopped somewhere in the
engine, since it's unlikely that both the intake and exhaust valves
are open at the same time?
