[s-cars] Rear brake saga - The Questions have Ended!

Well, at least about rear brakes. Hey! Stop that cheering out there, dammit.

:)

Brakes work great - I wrapped the bleeder screws in Teflon tape, and
the problem of the vacuum bleeder sucking air past the threads ended.
I can see why folks recommended a pressure bleeder. Heck, I have a
cylinder of dry nitrogen, and that would have worked great as a
pressurizing gas. Maybe I'll make a pressure bleeder on my own - some
tubing, a pressure vessel, and a spare MC cap - I'd be good to go.

I could tell that it had worked when I got everything closed up and
pulled up on the e-brake. It pulled up about the same travel as it
had before I got my monkey-hands on the system. I'm going to try and
bleed the clutch this weekend while I'm puttering around the garage.

Now - I have a small hassle that I worked around, but it's still a
bother - the left side hood hold-down doesn't release when I pull the
handle inside the car. I pull the center release "tongue" all the way
out, and it releases, but I have to grab the "tongue" with a pair of
pliers such that I can get my fingers on it. Is there a quick and
easy way to troubleshoot the hood release system?

Thanks to all (again), and I'm very happy to be driving my car again.
Wooohoooo!

Eric
