[s-cars] WAS: New clutch and 6-speed is NICE! NOW: Stiffened WG spring

Chris,
I understand it's WAY to late now for the other kit, but thought the
list might benefit from the knowledge of the Centerforce kit and the
killer price from Summit. Another FWIW, the unit feels the SAME as
stock, but holds more.
I think I'm responsible for the craze of the stiffened WG spring on
AW. I had purchase a MTM stiffend WG spring a year or so I had my S4,
because I knew one day I'd have a 20vT car. I finally swapped it in
after I found it in a drawer, and was AMAZED at the change. The
stiffened WG spring bleeds less boost off and through the wastegate
vent in the lower RPMs, which causes boost to build sooner. It's an
easy DIY mod that takes 10 minutes.
But a caveat: the new found boost will cause old hoses to burst if
they are weak, and may lead you to discover new misfires due to weak
coil packs.
