Actually, it was all just part of a little mind game I was going to play on Paul.  See, since I facilitated the acquisition of the V8 diff, it was being stored in my garage.  About 6 months or so later, Paul still hadn't stopped by to get it installed. One night I was going to throw out some old busted gears from my brother's '79 Scirocco, when I figured why not just throw them in Paul's rear end - Torsen, that is.  When Mullane acquired the rights to the Torsen I had forgotten all about the gear bits and the rest is history.  Now you know the real story.... or not.
