[s-cars] running a little lean?

Dave,
I think I'd spend more time diagnosing the problem before I reached for my
wallet and and tried to outfox the factory set up. Why is the car going
lean? I doubt the injectors are the culprit, but if I did suspect them, I'd
send them out to be cleaned and tested. What about fuel delivery? Do a
search for some of Dave Forgie's struggles with his car leaning out at the
top. His solution to provided more direct power to his fuel pump. How
about a leak in the MAF to turbo boot? This could suck in unmetered air and
lean the mixture with the turbo gets wound up.
The 34 lb/hour injectors are an OK substitute for the RS2 injectors, but I'd
rather stay with the Bosch stuff given the choice. Whether you are
substituting the 34's for stock or RS2 you will probably need an adustable
regulator in either case.

My 95.5, stock turbo, 3 inch downpipe back exhaust with
cat, mtm 1+ chip seems to run lean between over 5K rpm and
20-25 lb boost. It will go the the redline but feels like
some more fuel will make more power. Since my stock
injectors have 210K miles, I thought about trying some
racetronix 37 lb injectors, they're cheap enough. Anyone
know if they will work alone or will I need an adjustible
FPR.
thanks,
Dave O'Neil
