Subject: [s-cars] Hydraulic Hose issues

It appears my J-hose has given up after 160,000 miles (hydraulic pump to

accumulator); anyone with experience? The hose if off the car, but I
have no
way of testing the swags.

Any luck fabricating this $412.00 (blau) / $503 (dealer) high pressure
line?
Why does it have 1/2 inch insulation around it?

And yes, I have asked parts direct, autohaus az, and TPC for quotes...

Todd-

Gotta love these cars, planned mutual obsolescence. I'm TNNYDT - there
now not yet done that - literally as we speak on my '95 with 156k.
Silly Audi Gods.

I plan to yank it in the coming weeks now that the holidayze have
settled down into slightly less madness. My local FLAPS says they too
rebuild them to industrial spec, if that doesn't work out then it's off
to Spokane House of Hose, ~ $60 for a rebuild. Do a search, they're in
WA, many here used with success.

I'll also be doing the x-plug gasket even tho it was rebuilt 2 years ago
(Rossato's fails every other year or so), Claire Parts #026 145 541
$6.79, and I of course mooched his modified Snap On drag link socket.

HTH. Or something.
