[s-cars] Something fierce comes a cracklin'

Tim, 

I just had my stock Audi/Bose Gamma completely die in my S6.
Just flat out dead. Nothing but the lights came on when you
turned the switch. (didn't really know how much you miss tunes
until it's broken). It was a progressive death too, worked
great, then started to crackel, pop and wouldn't hold the
volume. Oh great. Then one day, nothing.

I pulled it out with the radio removal "<" tools and left
everything plugged right in. Took a can of "Wurth Contac Ol"
and a whole lotta additude and filled the damn thing up so it
was swimming in in the stuff. Sprayed it right on the volume
potentiometer guts. Reeked like a machine shop. Must have
emptied the whole bottle out. Anyway, turned it on turned it
off, on, off, on, off, sprayed more, sprayed MORE, on, off, on,
off... you get the idea. Works great now but don't know how
long this will last.

I was driving along today and all of a sudden my front speakers
started 
crakling something fierce, its only the fronts the rears are
still 
normal...... Any ideas, or is it time to upgrade to a better
system
