Yes, I want this. I want to splice an ipod connector cable so that I
have power and line-out to my ipod. If we were really ambitious, we
would create a serial chip that would intercept the head unit
forward/back signals and send the proper serial signal to the ipod.
I'm too lazy and I don't know how to do it. The ipod connector looks
like:

I could ditch my CD player for all I care.
