I thought I had recently seem some opinions about coating the
inside of components;

1. There was a concern that as the ceramic coating flaked off
or deteriorated, that the bits would lodge in downstream
components, such as the kitties.  Do these coatings
deteriorate quickly, slowly?  How do they deteriorate? Is this
a valid concern?

2. Interior coating is not "smooth" as the uncoated metal,
presumably this would disturb the flow.  Do the benefits of
keeping the heat from the metal outweigh the diturbed gas-flow?

More "why I love this list"...  

So I return home from work last night to mail on the counter, and a
surprise package for me from one Mr. Manuel Sanchez.  

Manny, who mind you looks neither like a Manuel nor a Sanchez (Dirty, or
not - bwhwhahaha sorry), and who I've only met once (when he drove MD to
CT for his Mihnea tune @ my place 7/04, then back home that afternoon),
apparently decided to compile a nice little in-car-cam video of his
suaray's around VIR 11/05, replete with an on-track image of his FMIC'd
RS2'd black Avant on the disc.  And sent me a copy for no reason other
than, well, because, and to goat me into Joining the Dark Side of
Avants.  

Neat.  

Now we see why he's all over the list today asking about coatings and
talking about sequential turbos.  Nut.  Pop the sucker into the laptop
this a.m., there's Manny reeling in 951's, E36 M3's, oh and an SL55.

Good for you Manny.  Rock on my brutha, keep up the good work - both
track and movie making.  Thanks for the disc, assuredly will be as you
suggested played @ the next GoF (Gathering of Fools).  I dug the tunes
as a background and being able to still hear the motor.  Good taste in
tunez to boot.

Yer too funny for sending it out of blue like that.  And sort of a
bastard!!!  Rubbing it in and all!!!  8-)  But again, why I love this
list.  And I'M the one whoz nutz????
