Yeah... after numerous of these discussions, I finally have a  believer!
 
 


All  this means is that by controlling the flow properly, we've now got  
bidirectional
control of the wastegate diaphragm with just one WGFV (and  without needing to
to also control the top of the wastegate  diaphragm).
 
 

 
YES!  That's the point.  ECU controls max boost AND has the  capability to 
back it way off, if needed.  This is one thing most boost  controllers don't 
offer... the ability to back off.
 
Granted, it isn't nearly as interesting as a sonic nozzle...
