daves,

one could argue that everything in that diagram also
supports a pressure range between charge pressure and
ambient (bleeding off boost sent to the lower chamber
of the wastegate).  it doesn't really talk about what
pressure is seen in that line.

i have an oil pressure gauge sitting around, but it's the
wrong range and it wouldn't tell me if i was getting vacuum.
