[s-cars] damaged tire

Stopped for fuel last night (drove across town to one of the few remaining
stations with 93 octane). Pulled up to the pump and went around to the fuel
filler only to be greated by a loud hissing sound... as if air was escaping
from someplace.

Turns out the "someplace" was my right rear tire. There was about an inch
long piece of flat metal showing in the tread! As if someone had jammed a
knife blade into the tread and broken it off. Put the spare on to drive
home (no fun in the cold and dark, but at least I had work gloves in the
car, an LED head-band flashlight, and 5 OEM wheel bolts to mount the spare.
Plus I'd just cleaned out the trunk so it was easy to get to the spare!)

My tires are all-season* Perelli P-Zero Nero M+S 235/17R35 new last spring.
Currently have about 10,000 miles on them and tread depth is about 6/32ths.
I'm not quite ready to replace the entire set yet, so what do I do about
ordering a replacement tire? I don't want to damage the quattro system by
mixing in a new tire with full 10/32 tread depth. Should I order a new tire
and have it shaved to 6/32ths to match the other three?

*First time I've run all-season tires on this car, but where I live now it
only snows once or twice a year... if at all. I miss playing in the white
stuff with the Hakkas!
