[s-cars] Keyless remotes for 1997 S6?

Congrats on the great purchase Brent.

I was in a quasi similar position when I bought my car last year.  It only car with one remote, so I set about to find a second for my wife.  Lucky for me, the Audi dealer contacted the previous owner and he had the spare remote so I was set.  Looking back now, seems like a waste considering she's driven it twice.  I live in NewBrunswick and my car is a '97 S6 too - green w/ grey int.

I'm interested in the switch blade key though.  Is the range of use the same for either remote?  I'm sure my dealer was not aware that the newer style would work.  BTW - thanks for the p/n. I'm going to look into this.

So, I am not sure if this keyless remote is the right one (it looks the 
same as the one in the owners manual)??? 
Is there any way to tell?
