On the plus side, Paul, since your car is currently "refrigerated", you will not smell this spill until temps go north of 45 - 50F. After a few days of this, your olfactory systems will be wondering what died in your car.

You might consider a thorough cleaning now, while it is still just carmelized goo. If you wait, you might have one of those creatures from Stephen King's Dreamcatcher crawling out of the console.
