 Hey, yea, that was me. If the car complies with US regulations it should be easy and you shouldn't have to say anything about the engine swap. In my case the car was a 91 and in 91 in the US all coupes had airbags but in Canada they did not so because of the car not having airbags it did not comply so I was stuck with an offroad vehicle only. To see if the car comply's call Audi of Canada and give them the vin #, if it complys they will send you a letter saying so and then its just paperwork at the boarder.

I heard through the grapevine that someone here on the S-car list did or tried to import a Coupe Quattro with a 20vt engine. 
 
I am trying to do the same. Any help on how to do this? I am getting a different answer from everyone I talk to.  
I looked through 6 months of archives and did not see anything.
