Have you checked to see if any codes are stored? That's the type of
bahaviour I'm seeing with the 801 code. It goes in da shop Tuesday,
and the problem is probably either the high pressure switch or else
the restrictor is gunked up.
As Tom Green told me - you can check this problem on the climate control
head by holding in the recirc button and then the up arrow then releasing
both at the same time.
It should show 01c which is channel one. Press recirc to display codes.
You should see 22.3 displayed as the malfunction code on channel one.
Then press + to go to other channels.
You want to look at channel 52 and 53. For correct operation, when the
compressor is engaged channel 52 should show: - -._ The "." means
that the compressor is engaged. You'll have to look at the Bentley
to get a complete rundown on what the various readings mean.
{pause} ... I went outside and started the S6 so I could tell you exactly
what it was reading when failing ... it's 76F outside and it works
perfectly, blows all the cold air I'd want #&$*%
