Varon,
I did the 1.8T coil upgrade on my wife's 95 S6. I can say that I had dieing
parts because it has never run better since I did this 4 months ago. I have
had no problems. I DO NOT run the coil cover.

Subject: Re: [s-cars] 1.8T coil odd behavior
Has the bogging-for-a-few-seconds-after-startup issue with the 1.8T coil
conversion been solved?
I have what I suspect is a dying OEM coil, so I need to decide whether to do
the 1.8T conversion, replace the bad OEM coil, or trade the S6 in on
MazdaSpeed Mazda 6 :-)

P.S. I know that last is a trecherous thought, but here Mazda has gone to
all the trouble to build an AWD turbo sedan with a manual transmission, the
least we should do is buy a few to express our appreciation!
