That's correct, Mark.   I paid worldimpex.com $5.82 for the genuine  
part.
Might as well get that $8 temp sensor that goes in it 025 906 041 A  
(blue)
and o-ring N903 168 02 and assemble it before installing.

I think the heater hose adapter that attaches to the block is more  
likely to
fail-- 034 121 143 E and o-ring seal N 900 351 03.
