Brian,
Do you mean fixing the backlight on the display? If so, pull the
instrument cluster, remove a part on the back of the cluster that
hides the tiny IC for the display. Remove that IC and using a small
soldering iron and a solder wick, unsolder the "wheat grain" bulb that
illuminates the display. The replacement bulbs can be picked up at
Radio Shack in a two/per pack (12 v, 60 mAmp). Solder in new bulb.
I did this three years ago and also changed out all of the cluster
illumination screw in bulbs at the same time. I am assuming that you
know how to pull the instrument cluster out. There are write-ups out
there and I am sure that someone will chip in with the Radio Shack
part number (I tore that part of the package off, sorry).
