Did I mention that I got to drive he new RS4? I was leaving our church
this 
evening in downtown Golden, when who should I run into but Frank
Amoroso. He 
was, of course, driving the new RS4. We pulled over to talk shop when he
made me 
an offer I just couldn't refuse. "You wanna drive it?" he says. "OK"
says I, 
and I offer him a drive in my car. We jump in the cars and head north
out of 
Golden on Hwy 93. Now this does happen to be one of the MOST heavily
patrolled 
roads in all of Colorado but we're both packin V1s so we are able to
play a 
little ;>)

Basically, I was very disappointed in the new one.>>>



Hap Hap Hap Hap Hap...  isn't that comparison like saying the F117 is
more enjoyable than oh, a new Leer Jet?  Sorta apples and oranges.  I
think we all here basically would expect your gem to ashame an meager
RS4.  And I say MEAGER.  Tune me up an RS6 and rip around next to it and
yours and maybe then we'd have drama.  But as a few of us have already
noted, Audi's use of "R" in RS4 is laffable.  HA!  There.  I laughed.
It should just be the //S4, and the //S4 should just be their A4, etc.
Or something, and stuff and things.  I think.

I mean, the RS4 was enjoyable, but one would have to be smokin da rock
to dream it would hold a candle to your masterpiece.  

Good observations tho about steering and braking feel, comparatively
speaking.  Couldn't agree more.  The car delivers but does so removedly
- lacking a better term.  Maybe you didn't opt for 'best time mode' and
simply cruise around in 1st @ the limiter tho????  Me wonderz.  Were you
able to shock and awe the on board 'chic' into total capitulation,
beckoning "HELP!" "HELP!" "HELP!", ala Sergio Valente, me askz???  If
not you simply weren't trying hard enough I seyz 8-).

Keep up the good work out there.  But come on, get Don Amoroso to cack
up an RS6, chip it, whatever, and then have a more appropo shoot out.

Hey! I *toasted* a Toyota Prius yesterday.  It was amaaaaaaaaazing.
