[s-cars] Parking curb, meet my wallet.

the hits just keep on coming.
did a classic move today in the 98F+ heat here in DC- pulled too far
'over' a parking curb and when backing away, ripped the lower grills,
belly pan and outer clips for the painted bumper off my avant. pretty
happy about it for about 3 miliseconds until i realized what a pain
in the @#$$ it was going to be. in addition to these getting
temporarily out of 'place', it also ripped out 3 of the 5 supports
holding the black, lower part of the bumper assemble (part where
belly pan slips into) to the painted, upper part of the bumper and
what the removable lower grills snap into. following me here?
the result is i need to somehow repair/fix/make new these supports
(and thus the structural integrity of the upper/lower bumper
junction) w/o purchasing a new or used bumper, as those run ~ $950USD
i just learned.
any wise sage on the list who has fell victim to this bit of audi god
spite have any suggestions? the first idea(s) that come to mind are;
1. use some sort of plastic weld/epoxy to replace the snapped off,
vertical supports and then
2. using short, black screws along both top and bottom of the
'removable' vents to make them not so...
...but I am having second thoughts.
thank you all as always.
sincerely,
matt ludwig.
