"There's a reason the breather system is run that way: It needs vacuum
(from turbo inlet) in order to properly vent crankcase pressure
without foaming up the oil. Otherwise, there's no where for the fumes
to go and gravity will keep them in the crankcase."

JP,
I think if need be I could easily plumb this through my new +100hp
catch can and back into the intake by the turbo but, really whats the
bad about leaving the crankcase without vacuum I wonder? If gasses
are not evacuated wouldn't they just hang around in the ole crankcase
and just dirty the oil a bit faster?
I oh so sickly studied the family album and dr bentley for 90 minutes
last night and learned, perhaps what most already know, that the
crankcase is vented from the back of the engine, goes down to a T
connection where presumably half of it goes through the pressure
valve, back up through the valve cover and is added back to the intake
to add oil to the intercooler. The presumed other half goes up
through the "non-return" (check) valve where it joins gas tank vapors
and is fed right into the manifold. It made me wonder how motronic
would meter any of this?
