I did read your posts about the background.   It is "buyer beware" so
the 
seller didn't have to tell you anything.  You were buying "as is" with
no 
warranty.  The seller obviously bailed for a reason. Seems like the
firm 
that did your prepurchase inspection screwed up (and screwed you) by 
not finding the problem.  Obviously if they had, you would have passed

and waited for another (better) car.  I would go back to the inspection

firm for some compensation. (Good luck).
