[s-cars] Is 225 too wide?

Knew I was going to get nailed.
What I really should have typed..
"Any tramlining (I may have) is from lowered suspension and not a result of
tire width."
It is also from tens of thousands of goddamn tractor trailers running across
401 24 hours a day seven days a week.
It feels the same as crossing a wake in a boat trying to change lanes.
This IS a function of tire width.
Now, would I go smaller... No friggin way. maybe bigger if I can bang out
the fenders :-)

> I wouldn't agree that "any tramlining is from lowered suspension and not a
result of tire width." I would say that if you lowered the car too much,
that it *could* play a role. But tramlining is due to a neglected
suspension, or one that is poorly aligned.

control arms, they should be somewhere between parallel to the ground and
pointing downward from subframe to wheel. If they are pointing upward from
subframe to wheel, you are going to have bumpsteer.
>
> We shouldn't get bumpsteer and tramlining confused. If you are driving
your car down a smooth (no bumps) road, and it is trying to dart around,
that is tramlining. Even a grossly "over-lowered" car should track straight
down a smooth road, if it is aligned correctly, and the suspension is in
good shape.

within the designed arc of operation, and my suspension is kept up, and
aligned correctly. I do not have any tramlining or bumpsteer.
