Oooh, now I get it... louvers and scoops, a horse of a different feather:

Me:  Mr B thinks I need a CF hood for my car.
wife:  @#$%^ Why don't you just buy a NEW car? ... Which car?

M:  the red Audi.  He thinks I need louvers and air scoops.
w:  well you're an idiot.
M:  no it's lighter and would move air more efficiently.

Maybe just get it, paint it red and it'll be quite some time before she
notices the louvers and scoops that had alwaze been there.
