[s-cars] Crossover pipe

Mike;

The aluminium UrS4 crossover will fit but you have to get the mounting tab
extensions with it - the mounts on the pipe are different than those on the
plastic UrS6 pipe. The S4 mounts have flat plate extensions that bolt up to
the car; if you just get the pipe you'll have to fab the extensions.

Sorry, can't help you with a source for the aluminium pipes, other than
Chris at Force 5 - he may have a pipe off a UrS4.

Subject: [s-cars] Crossover pipe

I believe I may have cracked my plastic crossover pipe. Symptoms: I was
putting the boost 25+psi on my RS2's MRC set up and then a "pop" and
stumble. Backed off and when tried again, boost came up to maybe 5 psi
before stumble and no higher boost possible. I hear an air leak from what
appears to be the passenger side of the engine compartment. Car idles well
and runs OK unless I get on the boost

Next day tried to pressure test the inlet tract via the MAF hose with a
pressurizer. Couldn't locate the leak from the top and the pressurizer
couldn't get any pressure to hold; poked around and all the Semco hoses are
on their respective places. Didn't have time to pull the lower tray and
check there yet. I'll get to that tomorrow.

I remember seeing an aluminum replacement for the plastic crossover but
cannot locate who was selling it. I also assume that an earlier S4
crossover which was aluminum would fit. Any help on getting either one of
these.
