Late night burrito run to Chipotle. . .a non-eventful 1.5 mile trip. . .

Shut off the car for 5 minutes, get back in with burrito in hand, turn the key 
and she won't "catch".

I have juice, not out of fuel, no smoke, no smell, all the warning indicators 
(pre-ignition including CEL so I assume it see's the ECU) are correct.  The only 
thing I can hear different is a "whine" when I turn her over - like a belt 
rubbing whur.  She has never let me sit before and the spontaneity of the 
problem make me think it's coilpack or timing or fuel pump - but absolutely NO 
warning signs (at least that my amateur senses could discern).

Anybody experience this thing before?  Do you think it's one of those "I'm in 
Audi hell for 3 months" type of e-mail subjects or am I just being a 
pragmatically-pessimistic-optimist? 

I was going to have her towed to my house but thought better of it since it was 
not a "I know exactly what the issue is and I'll order the part myself" issue.  
So I had it towed to the closest place to me that knows how she works (AutoSport 
Werks in Broomfield, CO).  At least I saved the extra 150.00 on another tow 
charge, eh?

Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated from this gruppe!
