I prefer to use ZIF sockets for most applications, including the S4. 
That said, I *have* had chips vibrate/heat cycle out of ZIF sockets 
before, so to avoid that potential problem I use a zip tie around the 
EPROM to hold it in tight to the ZIF socket.
