A couple years back there was a procedure for timing belt removal the
cautioned the mechanic NOT TO USE AN IMPACT WRENCH on the crank pulley bolt.
Remove the bolt with a large breaker bar working against the crank holding
tool. If an impact wrench is used it will likely shear the key of the timing
belt pulley.

I have the 20 pages or so of this original article. It has been used in
court where I won a judgment against Michael Audi, Fresno, CA.
Also, the flywheel on the S4 AAN engine can only be mounted in one position.
The bolt holes are offset such that the flywheel cannot be mounted in a
wrong position on the crank. Take it from there.
