The write-up shows how to pop up the cam and expose the shaft. Note the
pitting on the shaft in the photo - a good example of a corroded shaft. Some
rebuilds just clean up the shafts and reinstall them, hence the pitting.
Needless to say, you don't get a good seal on a pitted shaft, so the clean
and lube becomes a regular routine if you want to keep the e-brakes working.
