what you describe is very much like the A-arm bushings on the 4Kq.
there are a couple of ways to do it - assuming you've got a bit of
moving about room. here's how we did it on the 4kq.

1) remove the inner bushing. I used LN (as in liquid nitrogen). get it
cold then whack it with a hammer. others report good results using a
hole saw. you only need to cut the inner bushing out along with the
rubber.

2) remove the outer shell. score it well with a hacksaw blade then use
a cold chisel to remove it by folding it into the center.

3) install with heat/cold. put the bushing in the freezer for a few
hours. warm up the arm. install with mallet and wooden block. use
plenty of grease.
