[s-cars] Anyone used Sears for front-end alignment?

Matt,
Before I take my car anywhere for alignment, I take the time to loosen, lube
and tighten anything and everything they might need to touch during the
alignment. I take the tie rods apart and liberally apply anti-seize (front
and rear). Most techs will appreciate the effort and take the extra time to
do a good job. There is a huge difference between "in spec" and "dead on".
Last time I one of the cars in I got razzed by the tech because I missed one
of the bolts in my "pre-service."

thank you everyone for all the input very much. i am in a slight
pinch, and it sounds like what i was planning on doing will work....
with luck. i too like to be in the general area when people work on
these cars that are not familiar, but also respect their
professionalism and dedication to their job.
