I am. I have a RS2 turbo with stock IC. It does appear to heat soak
easily and it will be interesting to see how it compares in HP to others
with a FMIC. We have a dyno-day scheduled with about 6 cars very soon
and one has a FMIC while the other 5 have stock IC.

Required, no. Recommended, yes if you want all the potential HP of a
bigger turbo or water injection is another way to go.
