[s-cars] Diesel oil?

You may correct me if I am mistaken:
Diesel engines are pretty highly stressed compared to gasoline
engines, even turbo motors. The oil they use has to be of a higher
specification than regular old motor oil. If you look at what VAG
recommends for their TDI motors, you'll notice that it's more strict
than for their gas motors.
High temperature high sheer motor oil for diesels fits very well with
the specifications for our tight 20vt motors.
I understand that there is often a great deal of discussion over motor
oils on this list, but thankfully, unlike Usenet, this list is very
civil and informative. I am very tempted to be irreverent here, but I
shall restrain myself. :)
Sliding quickly down the other slippery slope,
Eric
