[s-cars] Plastic Headlight Adjuster: replacement source?

A while back when there was a flurry of activity surround HID upgrades,
HIR bulbs, euro-lens swaps etc, we had several people with their
headlights in various stages of disassembly. Several of these folks
needed to readjust their headlights once everything was reassembled. I
know a couple people found they had the common problem of plastic
adjuster breaking or coming off the knurled metal adjustment shaft. I
know one person ran a tap over the knurled shaft, and proceeded to
loc-tite on a double nut setup to provide a new adjustment ability. But
I thought I read that someone had actually found a source for new
plastic gears to press onto the knurled shaft.

Anyone else recall this? Have a part number or a source to contact for
these? My vertical adjusters are still functional, but both gears for
my lateral adjusters have come off the adjustment shaft. I figured I'd
at least try to find a replacement plastic source before resorting to a
tapping threads onto the adjustment shaft. I don't see having custom
bronze gears made as being cost effective.

Anyone else come up with any other creative solutions for this problem?

Thanks in advance!
