You just need a car with a low cross-sectional signature and lots of
fiberglass
or carbon fiber to cut down on reflectivity.
A Miata would be good, as would a 3rd gen. RX-7 and a C5/C6 Corvette.
A tall car like the S6 is bad.
Fortunately, where I live there is usually enough traffic that I don't have
to worry
about instant-on getting me w/o warning. However, it did happen on the
Palisades
Parkway- really nasty trap- crested a hill, no warning at all from the V1,
then instant-on
K band went max on the signal meter.
The only good thing was that I was covering ground fast enough and there
were enough
curves in the road that I lost visual contact with him and got off the
highway. :-)
I used a rabbit on the drive back from the Glen, was fun having a X5
4.4running a good 1000ft. ahead of me running interference doing 90+.
He was
probably very surprised that he couldn't lose the big black Audi 200, even
when he took it past 120. I guess he doesn't understand how aerodynamic drag
is related to frontal area and that 280+ hp doesn't work as well with a big
SUV body compared to a relatively sleek sedan body.
