[s-cars] hardwired v1...

All this talk about radars makes me almost miss North Dakota. Up until
around '93 or so the State Troopers, sheriff's , etc used to leave the radar
on (no instant on , yet). With ND being so flat and all I could cruise at
85, hear a beep from my old Passport and lift on the throttle and coast down
to 65 before I even saw the officer. When they got instant on radar it was
dangerous, if you are the only car on the road there was no advanced
warning. I used to get about one ticket a year, but with a $ 13 to 20-ish
fine it was not that bad. I always thought it would cost more to process the
ticket than what they made.
Out on the prarie it was easy to creep up in speed with so few cars, trees,
etc. Now in NH, I cruise around 75 sometimes 80 and there is always someone
going faster, so I never really bothered getting a new detector.
enough rambling....
